Funchal is the
sixth largest city in Portugal and a popular destination amongst tourists

cathedral is studded with classic glazed tiles which make it look like you are

Manuel I, the Portuguese king. The

This is a Japanese styled garden with many exotic plants and natural

are symbolic of the flourishing trade relations between Portugal and

Igreja Do Monte is
a 18th century church built on the site of 15th century
hermitage. The church houses is a statue of Nossa Senhora do Monte (Our Lady of the Mountain) which
was originally the part of the hermitage site and has been preserved and
worshipped since the establishment of Madeira. Exquisite architecture of the
church is a site to look at.

reach the Upper Terminal in Monte, you find several groups of men waiting for
