Air New Zealand is
one of the leading air carriers of New Zealand. Originally started in the name
of Tasman Empire Airways Limited (TEAL) in 1940, we started our only domestic
flight operations in 1965. With the name TEAL, we operated trans-Tasman flights
between from New Zealand to Australia. Then, TEAL was renamed in 1965 as Air
New Zealand and it has been completely owned by the government of New Zealand.
